Paula Assadourian

Paula Assadourian is a visual storyteller and director born in the beautiful city of Cuernavaca, Mexico. With over a decade of experience at Pixar, DreamWorks, and Sony Pictures Animation, she has helped shape stories with humor, emotional nuance, and a strong visual sensibility. 

She is currently directing her independent short film Breath, a project that reflects her interest in meditation, inner life, and the healing possibilities of reconnecting with nature.

Her work is informed by a diverse background, a playful sense of humor, and a deep spiritual practice, all of which shape her distinctive storytelling voice. Paula is a CalArts graduate and has studied abroad in Gobelins in Paris, New York and Vancouver. She currently resides in Northern California, where she bridge her love for meditation with art and practice Tai Chi.
